Last night I finished the other cream sock with green tips & heel. Really pleased they are finished and will be posted to him on Tuesday. mrgreen

I had so much fun knitting them and just about remember the pattern off by heart.

Got everything ready for starting my first pair of 4 ply socks for myself with this wool.

Only thing is.... I don't have the needle size in the house. eek So I need to pick some DPN after the long weekend.

Anastasia socks.

This is the socks I want to knit with the wool. To me these socks are sexy........rolleyes

You can find the pattern here

For the next couple of days, I'll knit Pat's jumper.

Off & Running

This is the other sock for Pa's birthday. I still have the other mate to knit and then into the Aussie post and off to Sydney they go.

Pa was 86 years young yesterday. This pair I have made the band a row wider and a bit longer (not by much) before I started the heel.

I love this colour combination and they look different from the other pair.

Until next time....hoo roo

All finished and now to knit the other pair for Pa. Then its into the post and off to Sydney for his birthday.

Love the colour combination, makes them look so different to the blue pair I knitted for myself. The colours make the socks look manly.

Oh I Lurv Socks

Late yesterday afternoon I emptied out everything in My Knitting Box and had a tidy up. Then I picked out some different coloured wool to show Pat. We decided that the grey wool for Pa's socks will look nice with some bright red wool included.

So the socks I started to knit last night, are grey with red heel, toe and band.

Also I took some time to update my stash over on Ravelry. Still trying to get the WIP up to date as well.

But getting back to socks.... I think I am addicted to the thought of knitting them and actually love looking at the photos over on Ravelry. So many styles and colours to look at and choose from.

Since joining up with Woolaholics I have had my eyes widened to what there is out in the world besides baby to adult jumpers. Never knew there were so many shops I could order wool from either. And I am learning new knitting techniques.

My list of "Oh I want to knit this" is getting longer than my arm...lol

Until next time....hoo roo

White 4 Ply Baby Jacket With Yoke Pt. 2

All finished and ready for our neighbour who is due at any time now.

This little jacket was really easy to knit as it was up to the underarm in 1 piece. The little sleeves were each done in an afternoon.

The yoke was a bit different and I had to remember the yon wasn't when my brain said it should be, but when the pattern said it should be. Once that had been established, the yoke pattern was easy to complete.

I have started to use the circular needles when knitting large amount of stitches and I am finding this easier that using 2 needles. So when it came time to use 2.75 needles.... I didn't have a circular needle in that size. Panicked eek until I remembered I have a pile of needle sets of the other kind. Funny how you can have tunnel vision when wanting to finish a project.

Front of the jacket.

Back of jacket.

Now this is finished I will start Pa's socks for his birthday. Never ending my Knitting Box. lol

What Kind Of Yarn Are You???

What kind of yarn are you?

You are Merino Wool. You are very easygoing and sweet. People like to keep you close because you are so softhearted. You love to be comfortable and warm from your head to your toes.
Take this quiz!

Just some fun I found on Rebecca's blog mrgreen

Why not click on the link and have a go yourself and see what kind of yarn you are.

At the same time why not do my little poll on who taught you to knit. Its on the right hand side on your computer screen.

Until next time....hoo roo
