Been into Spotlight today and I picked up some goodies that I needed to start a couple of projects. Also at the same time I picked up 4 balls of the 8 ply wool for Pat's jumper I will knit next year.
Plus some white wool for a baby's jacket in 4 ply. Been so long since I have bought babies wool that I didn't notice these balls are 100grams and not the 25 grams I am used to buying. So I was thinking this cardigan was going to cost $20 to knit. But after a lovely lady set me straight about the weight of the balls, I was breathing a bit better. This jacket will cost me $10 to knit and there will be a bit of wool left over afterwards.
This is the cardigan I am going to knit and it'll suit either a boy or girl. If you are on dial-up and not broadband please note, this pic is resized a bit bigger, to show the patten off.
I haven't knitted this one before, so I am pretty excited about knitting a different style. The jacket is knitted in 1 piece up to the underarm. I love this style as it cuts down the sewing to just the shoulder and sleeves.
Also I picked up a pair of 5.5 mm needles so I can now start Happy Potter's ladies cardigan. The wool is a 12 ply Cleckheaton country. Happy Potter had the wool sent directly to me from the online company called Tapestry Craft.
This is the cardigan that Happy Potter has asked me to knit for her. She doesn't want to cardigan until next winter, so I have a few weeks to knit it up.
So it's all happening in my Knitting Box. In case you are wondering how will I be knitting the baby jacket and ladies cardigan??
Easy, baby jacket through the day, when I am sitting and on the weekends. Happy Potter's cardigan will be knitted at night from Monday to Friday, until the baby jackets are all done. These little jumpers for babies don't take long to knit up and bubby is due on the 28th of Oct.
So it's full steam ahead from my Knitting Box.
